I think this article is really funny. Progress Coffee is an east Austin coffeeshop, transformed into an “anchor” for a “creative community” from a warehouse bordering a drug haven.
I love Austin’s coffeeshops, don’t get me wrong. I’ve spent almost as much time in them as in my own house. At the same time, I have to laugh. The coffeehouse and its status as “hub” and the very “Progress” appellation they chose is just so very Austin, by which I mean so tragically cool, so ultra-hipsterish.
