I still can’t believe there are people so greedy, irresponsible and unethical that they accepted million-dollar bonuses out of taxpayer bailout money. No, yes I can, but it makes me sad.

So AIG says “the payouts were necessary to retain top employees with … specialized knowledge.”
Um, we should find those employees and ask why they thought accepting the money was a good idea given the current financial climate and the source of the funds. The banking industry needs to seriously be educated on the concept of accountability.
